Dell's Evil

well, i've been doing Dell affiliate progam for almost half year. as a blogger, i'm doing pretty well and sending lots of traffic to dell but the thing is, i got around $47k on my report as "non commissionable sales"!!!!

finally i realised the cookie duration time is only 1 day. that's sh*t...for a customer buying an item over $1k, you give them only 24 hours to make decision. r u crazy?

most peopel need several days or weeks to compare prices, even going to take a look at local stores. it's quite clear that those "non commisionable sales" turned to be real purchase because of my effort, but my money was gone.

i've sent dell sevral emails on this issue but got no response at all (r they too busy with tweeting?) well, anybody from dell can see this post? i mean, a minimum of 30 days should be the lowest lifespan for cookie if you want to build a fair relation with valuable publishers. as far as i know, dell's cookie duration was the worst on earth, compared with 90 days (zappos.com) and 10 years (tucia.com). needless to day the stupid commission rates (1% in most case), while zappos is at least 12% and tucia is 15%
